John makes this intensely practical.

If we claim to abide in Christ, to live in Him, remain in Him, then our lives should begin to resemble His.

Not Perfectly.

Not instantly.

But Progressively.

Jesus walked in:

Obedience to the Father.

Compassion towards others.

Truth without compromise.

Humility and Sacrifice.

To walk as He walked means our direction matches His direction.

Christianity is NOT just believing facts about Jesus, it's patterning our lives after Him.

Abiding Produces Imitation.

Imitation reveals relationship.
